Answer:

1) Maize plant is a monocot whereas the grain plant is dicot.

Scattered vascular bundles are observed in the stem of the maize, secondary growth is absent, no vascular cambium. Vascular bundles are arranged as a ring in stem of grain plant.

2)

Biopiracy: The utilization of the biological product sources (genetic materials or medicinal plant) with out any permission from concerned.

Biopatent: The excluisve rights given to a particular person or company for a particular biological source (Drugs, medicinal extracts from plants and also use of economically important microorganisms).
