This equation is of the form

(x-h)²=4p(y-k)

Where (h,k) is the centre

In the given question h=0 and k=0

Focus is given by (h,k+p)

And in the given question 4p=12

p=3

Therefore focus=(0,3)

Directrix    , y=(k-p)

     y=-3
