     Subtracting Matrices The table below campare enrollment of boys and girls in a community theater program during each season throughout a year. Create two 1 Times 4 matrices based on the data and then subtract the matrices. Write 1 - 2 sentences to explain what the values in the resulting matrix represent.

  Solution
Let matrix A = number of girls enrolled during each season. Then
A= ( 23 20 25 32)
And let matrix B= number of boys enrolled during each season.
B= (20 18 24 30)
Now A-B = ( 23-20 20-18 25-24 32-30) = (3 2 1 2)
b) From the above A-B matrix we can say that
number of girls enorolled during fall is 3 greater than the number of boys enrolled in this season
number of girls enorolled during wintwe is 2 greater than the number of boys enrolled in this season
number of girls enorolled during spring is 1 greater than the number of boys enrolled in this season
number of girls enorolled during summer is 2 greater than the number of boys enrolled in this season
