Solution

a) sin>0 which means sin is positive

So sin can lie in 1st or 2nd quadrant

cot >0 which means cot is positive So cot can lie in 1st or 3rd quadrant

If you see the common quadrant for both the cases is 1st quadrant

So sin>0 and cot >0 can lie in 1st quadrant

b)cos<0 which means cos is negative so cos can lie in 2nd and 3rd quadrant

csc>0 which means csc is positive so csc can lie in 1st and 2nd quadrant

If you see the common quadrant for both the cases is 2nd quadrant

So cos<0 and csc>0 can lie in 2nd quadrant
