Aquaponics is concept where the intercation of fish,plant, bectaria in aqueous environment. It also involved the blend of dissolved nutrients.
Paratmeters to be consider for Aquaponics testing;

FISH
- Dissolved oxygen (DO)
- pH
- Temperature
PLANT
Mostly 16 chemical nutirents are required viz. Nitrogen,Phosphorus, potasium, calcium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Boron, Cooper, Iron, Clorine, Mangnese, Molybdenum and Zinc.Primary focus is on providing potasium and calcium as suppliment.
The complex inter-relationship between fish, plants and bacteria impact the water chemistry and are major reasons for periodically monitoring them, particularly when things appear “out of kilter”. In an aquaponic setting total nitrate is added to the list of water chemistry parameters that are monitored most frequently:
•Water temperature (ºF or ºC)
• Dissolved oxygen (D.O.)
•pH
•Total Ammonia-Nitrogen or TAN
There are kits available in the market.
Procedure
The Set-up should be under supervision and it should be monitored on daily basis in the begining for atleast 4 weeks then once a week can be considered as normal. If some unusual activity like Fishes are not eating and plants look unhealthy then these might be the sign of distress, therefore you must check and keep adjustment. A record/log must be kept for all the amendments and all day to day activity.
Outcomes:
As it is mentioned that system is used for vegitation, good growth of vegitation at small or big scale as long as fish feeding system.
if everything kept proportinate and maintained correctly then the growth of plant and fishes can be optimized for better outcome.
