Solution

Mitosis: It happens in all vegetative cells. The daughter cells are genetically identical to the parent cells. The daughter cells are diploid cells. One parent cell can devide into two daughter cells. There is only one cell division.

Meiosis: Meiosis occur in gern cells. Half of daughter cells are identical to parent cells and half of cells are genetically different from parent cells (due to recombination of chronosomes). The daughter cells are in haploid condition. One parent cell devide and give four haploid cells. There are two divisions in meiosis (meiosis I & meiosis II).
