Note and describe at least 2 obvious differences in regards to structure between a plant cell (derived from an onion or elodea) and an animal cell (prepared slide or derived from a human cheek). How do the differences above affect the function of the organism?

Solution

Plant cell have cellwall made-up of cellulose which protects it from osmotic shocks also it have vaccule to store the reserve food also to diposit waste materials.

Where as animal cell donot have any cell wall also no vaccule.. animal cell devoid of peroxisomes but plant cell has it.

Due to cell wall and vaccule plant cell regulates it\'s osmotic shocks and during cell division they need to breakdown the cell wall but in animals it is not occurred due to lack of cell wall.
