To successfully answer the discussion in this unit you will need to read the Ergonomics Case Study (Chapter 14) and focus on the “To-Be-Process Plan” described in the “To-Be-Process Diagram.\"

Your Discussion response should address:

1. What was your overall first impression of the “To-Be-Process” plan (be thorough in your explanation).

2. Identify at least two critical issues within the “To-Be-Process” plan that could lead to implementation success and failure.

3. Suggest at least one improvement to the plan.

Solution

1. when i looks at the diagram first time, i thought it is some what interlinked and interdepended structure. means here each ectivity is depends on some other activity and if only the first one completed successfully then the second one starts. and it creates some dilemma in my mind, some what typical to understand. and in implementation it is not user friendly.

2. the two issure are they are interlinked with many other wings or departments. the performance of one department is depending on the performance of the other. it is difficult to operate and control. the major problme is integration of the activities.

3. inter links and inter connections should be as possible as minimum. to control and verify all the process there will be one central co-ordinator is sufficient.
