Determine the degree and the leading term of the following polynomial function. F(x) = (x67 - 4)^2(x^3 + 3)^3 qprimeThe leading term of the polynomial function is (Type an expression using x as the variable.) The degree of the polynomial function is qprime (Type a whole number.)
Solution
All we need is the leading term of each individual section...
First section was (x^7 - 2)^2.
(x^7) squared is x^14, which is leading term for first section
Second section was (x^3 + 3)^3
The leading term of which is (x^3) cubed, i.e x^9
Now, to find leading term overall, multiply those....
x^14 multiplied by x^9 is :
x^23 ----> first answer
Degree = 23 ---> second answer
