We all know that our bodies can change dramatically as we age. Some of us try to slow this process or reverse this process, while others seem to age gracefully. What are some of the specific changes that take place, and with the changes that you selected, what can be done to impact the speed at which these changes take place? Please explain. 100 words or more please

Solution

The process of aging old is known as “senescence.” The degenerative changes that are initiated during the adulthood continue during the senescence. So that the body fails to meet the internal and the external environmental demands.

Throughout the life time, the wear and tear occurs, which progresses to senescence. This includes the normal aging of the cells and also the stress indicted by the physical injuries and physiological diseases and disorders.

The metabolic rate and distribution of fat and fluid also changes with age. The immune system declines and the repair processes become slow. The efficacy of the nervous system decreases with age. The degenerated nerve cells cannot be replaced, so that the intellectual functions and sensory activities become decreased.

Death generally results from the failure of the immune responses, disturbances in the cardiovascular and in the other vital organs. The simple age related degenerative changes do not cause death by their own.

Amelioration of aging:
