use law of sines or cosines 12 SolutionUsing Law of cosines

use law of sines or cosines

12

Solution

Using Law of cosines :

c^2 = a^2 +b^2 -2abcosC

Let a = 5 ; b = 6 ; c =8 .We find angle C = y deg

8^2 = 5^2 +6^2 -2*5*6cosy

3= - 60cosy

cosy = -1/20----> y = 92.87 deg

Now use Sine Law to find angle x deg:

5/sinx = 6/siny

sinx = 5*sin92.87/6 = 0.8322

x = 56.33 deg

 use law of sines or cosines 12 SolutionUsing Law of cosines : c^2 = a^2 +b^2 -2abcosC Let a = 5 ; b = 6 ; c =8 .We find angle C = y deg 8^2 = 5^2 +6^2 -2*5*6co
