A circle has a radius of 12 ft Find the length s of the arc

A circle has a radius of 12 ft. Find the length s of the arc intercepted by a central angle of 30 degrees.

Do not round any intermediate computations, and round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Solution

As we know that

we are given

radius = 12 ft and angle ( theta) = 30

Length of arc = 2*pi*r*theta/360

L= 2*3.14*12*30/360

L = 2260.8/360

L=6.28 feet =6.3 feet
