How did Kant attempt to reconcile empiricism and rationalism
How did Kant attempt to reconcile empiricism and rationalism? Was his attempt successful in the end?
Solution
He tried to reconcole empiricism and rationalism movements by starting that both the things are completely wrong and inappropiate. The reasoning behind his arguement was that nobody senses and thoughts are free to do anything, they are operating on the limits and consequences. hence not either of the senses or thoughts can ever directly exceed these limits
He said that both the disciplines must be worjking hand by hand, according to him, rationalist people cannot deny that there exists entire world of senses and empiricist must know things in order to operate empirically
His attempt was successful in the end and both groups were reconciled after some time.
