From a cellular standpoint, what is the difference between kinetic and potential energy ? What is the major molecules found in the cell how are used to male ATP?

Solution

Potential energy is stored energy in an object or system. Kinetic energy is when the object is in motion. In cell the energy is stored in organic molecules like corbohydrate protein and fats, Through cellular respiration and fermentation, those bonds are broken releasing the potential energy of organic molecules into kinetic energy that cells use to do work.

ATP, ADP, NAD+,NADH, NADP+, NADPH, FAD, FADH2. Certain reduced forms of these high energy molecules can donate their electrons to the electron carriers of the electron transport chain (ETC) which results in the production of ATP (only under aerobic conditions).
