Anti roll bar which is caled called sway bar is nothing but a part of suspension in the automobile just to reduce the effect body rolling of a vehicle during a sharp turn or irregularities in the roads. This is the main role of the anto rolls bar. Also we can control the understeer and over steer of the vehicle.

They are fixed to the chassis in the central location at both front and back so that they can be connected both the suspensions at front and back through the end links.
