Mensical Tear:

A mensicus tear is important knee injuries and it causes the forcefully twist or rotate the knee. The most commonly affected among athletes, many middle aged, and older adults with knee problems. Each year in the United States, more than 450,000 artheoscopic meniscal surgeries are performed to treat meniscal tears.There are two types of menisci: 1. C - shaped pieces of cartilage .2. A torn meniscus

C- shaped cartilage is cushion of shinbone and thighbone. And A torn meniscus causes pain, swelling, stiffness, and unstable.

The menisci are commonly affected in the injured structure of knee. Injuries occur in any age group of persons, but younger persons the menicus is able to endure difficuilty or pain and rubbery, but that person can be torn in forceable twisting injuries. The meniscus grows weaker and not able to return to normal size or shape with age, and can be torn with justly minor injuries and simple squat.

Symptoms:

The most common symptoms of meniscus is pain. The pain may be occurs in the joint of the meniscus lies and all over the knee. The knee may also become little swollen. It is affected with twisting, impact activities when the meniscus can be pinched.The pain may settled with rest.Difficulty to straighten the knee fully, and block to movement of knee.

Treatment:The begining treatment for a meniscus is reducing the pain and swelling in the knee. This is succeed by resting the knee with anti-inflammatory medications.If the knee is cannot be straightened, surgery may be recommended.In this antiinflammatory treatment, in the large number of patients are degenerative tears and pain will settle.But the symptoms continues, surgery will be required to remove the torn part of the meniscus

Surgery:Arthroscope is most common surgrey of meniscal. In this method small part of incisions are made in the knee to allow the insertion of a camera in to the knee and another small incision, are used to removed the affected torn portion of meniscus.Arthroscope is mainly used to see what is happenes in the knee. In this treatment meniscus tear can be repaired( this is mostly in young people) and placed into the torn meniscus. This method is not possible in all cases. This type tear in older people are not able to repairable.

Chondromalacia of Patella: This is inflammation of the underside of the patella and the cartilage.Chondromalacia patellae is treated with patellifemoral pain syndrome. This syndrome is applies to individual without cartilage damaged, it is recognizeing it from chodromalacia patellae by softening of the patellar articular cartilage.

Chondromalacia Causes   

This is commomnly affected in the adolescents and young adults.

Symptoms

Treatment : it is depend up on the extent of the damage, and grading. MRI can be used to evaluate the damage. Rest is very important to the mild pain and application of ice , inflammation trearment is best for this pain. But these treatment is not helpful the surgery is nessary for damaged cartilage.
