These are fluid dynamic question please help will rate thanks in advance Why is coefficient of discharge(C) not constant? How would the value of coefficient of discharge(C) be effected if the apparatus was resting on a sloping ground? Explain....

Solution

a) Discharge coeffcient depends on various parameters of the flow like mass flow rate, pressure drop and density of the fluid flowing. Hence it cannot be a constant

b) Again the value of Discharge cofficient will be effected as the mass flow rate will be increased and the head difference increases and hence the sloping ground will have an affect on discharge coeffcient.
