The main objection to the position taken by Singer was towards the demand made by Singer in his article. The demand to make the goods done by persons as impartial and that they must be performed in various circumstances, is the most objected point. People argue that this point of demanding of doing good must remain optional.

Other objection to Singer\'s article is put up by Bob Corbett, who argues that the obligations to perform goods are limited to people who live in the nearby surrounding and not to those who live far away. The demand to do good to them is psychologically too much for the people.
