If Data A has a correlation coefficient of r 0991 and Data
If Data A has a correlation coefficient of r = -0.991, and Data B has a correlation coefficient of r = 0.991, which correlation is correct?
Solution
Both correlations are valid, because correlation varies between -1 and 1 (inclusive). But, correlation is always betwee 2 variables, or between the columns of a bivariate data. IT does not make sense for correlation in a single sample data.
