Use source transformations to simplify the circuit to the left of load resistor R to a single current source in parallel with a single resistance, R_eq. What is the value of R_eq?

Solution

> HERE FIRST CONVERT VOLTAGE SOURCE IN TO CURRENT SOURCE

I=30/10=3 AMPS

NOW 10 OHMS RESISTOR IS PARALLEL CONNECTION TO THE 3 AMPS SOURCE

NOW TWO CURRENT SOURCES ARE CONNECTED IN PARALLEL

RESULTANT VALUE IS 3-2=1 AMP.

NEXT 10 OHMS AND 10 OHMS ARE CONNECTED IN PARALLEL

NOW THE CIRCUIT BECOMES 1 AMP SOURCE IN PARALLEL WITH 5 OHMS

CONVERT THIS INTO VOLTAGE SOURCE

VOLTAGE=1*5=5 VOLTS

NOW THE CIRCUIT IS 5 VOLTS SOURCE IN SERIES WITH 5 OHMS AND 20 OHMS

NOW CONVERT VOLTAGE SOURCE IN TO CURRENT SOURCE.

CURRENT I=5/25=0.2 AMPS

REQ=25 OHMS

 Use source transformations to simplify the circuit to the left of load resistor R to a single current source in parallel with a single resistance, R_eq. What i
