a) The dressed size of 2x6 section is 1.5x5.5

section modulus of section = bd2/6=1.5*5.52/6 = 7.5625

moment of inertia = bd3/12 = 1.5*5.53/12 =20.8

b)dressed size of 6x8 is 6x8

section modulus of section = bd2/6=6*82/6 = 64

moment of inertia = bd3/12 = 6*83/12 = 256

c)dressed size of 4x10 is 3.5x9.25

section modulus of section = bd2/6=3.5*9.252/6 = 49.91

moment of inertia = bd3/12 = 3.5*9.253/12 = 230.84

d)dressed size of 8x16 is 8x16

section modulus of section = bd2/6=8*162/6 = 341.33

moment of inertia = bd3/12 =8*163/12 = 2730.67
