1 epidermal tissues - - guard cells, root hairs, produces structure called trichome s, cells make up protective layer, covered with waxy cuticle to prevent water loss.

This layer protects the plant from external environment

2.ground tissues--parenchyma, collenchyma, sclerenchyma, forms edible part of fruit and vegetables, forms bulk of the plant

The ground tissue of plants includes all tissues that are neither dermal nor vascular

3.vascular tissues - - xylem, phloem, sieve tube members, vessel elements, conduct water and nutrients in the plant

They are specialized cells with transport of water, hormone and minerals throughout the plant.
