3 types of cytoskeletal filaments found in eukaryotic cells are -Microtubules ( thickest), Microfilaments (also called actin filaments) and Intermediate filaments.

Microtubules are conveyor belts inside the cells. They move vesicles, granules, organelles like mitochondria, and chromosomes via special attachment proteins.

Microfilaments- role in cytokinesis, movement, and changes in cell shape also help with cell movement.

Intermediate filaments provide mechanical support for the plasma membrane where it comes into contact with other cells or with the extracellular matrix.
