How can we confirm that a sketch is fully constrained?

Solution

You should pick automatic dimension from the browser and this will tell
you how many constraints and dimensions you need to fully constrain the
sketch. Pick apply and it will dimension the sketch to fully constrained,
but this is usually over done and I only use it to get some idea what is
required in dimensions, then I remove these dimensions and continue my own
dimensions until the sketch is fully constrained. Also the sketch geometry
changes color (mine to black) depending on the color scheme and when all
elements are black its fully constrained. I think you should experiment
with the automatic dimension tool to get the feel for it.
