I work in a bank\'s treasury department and some new standards related to Basel norms have to be implemented to better manage the risk factor. This is a change in the banking industry and is affecting my ability to manage change in terms of the implementing certain new operational policies in my department.

I am missing the conceptual tool and this is causing certain ambiguity. In the absence of clarity as well as conceptual understanding on certain norms on the definition of tier II capital, an atmosphere of ambiguity has been created.

The psychological tool in change management involves the use of a manager\'s reservoir of emotional, physical and mental energy. This tool encourages a manager to be optimistic and accept the uncertainity related with change.

The spiritual tool will encourage the managers to have an internal monologue. It will give them the power to ponder on possible solutions to a problem.

The nature of change is a conceptual one as new principles and standards are being introduced. I have the psychological, spiritual tool at my disposal. But i lack as far as the conceptual and experiental tools are concerned.

The paradox is that the spritual and psychological tool is encouraging me to think out of the box, and be creative and positive. But the weak nature of conceptual and experiental tools at my disposal is not allowing me to do so.
