There are some tranportation companies that will charge you the dimensional weight which is basically the volume the package uses, this happens when the Dimnesional weight exceeds the actual weight, for example you might have a package that is not heavy at all but the dims are 100 x 100x 800 , therefore the company will charge you base on the dim weight.

If you were to ship the same package domesticly then you wouldnt pay duties and taxes or brokers fee but you would need to pay the transportation and if the item is big then transportation companies may apply the dim weight
