The diversity of life is higher and abundance of prey is higher so that it is more efficient for amphibians (chordates) to live more of their life in aquatic or marine environment rather than living on land environment. Therefore, species growth & reproduction and predation for biological evolution is higher finally it is more advantageous to obtain homeostasis

The possibility of abundance of biological oxygen demand is lower in aquatic life than living on land at extreme places and abundance of light is lower to perform light- based reactions. Therefore, it is not possible to achieve adequate metabolic output if species is going to migrate from one zone to another zone. Variable temperatures and marine environment may lead to low of level of sustainability of life due to lack of immediate evolutionary adaptations
