1. Do we really need a major change in the way the IS function is structured...are the necessary changes just minor modifications to accommodate normal growth in computer uses...what are your thoughts / research in this regard?
2. A vision is not the responsibility of the CIO...it is the responsibility of the CEO or the top management team...do you agree or disagree...why?
3. Companies are using eBusiness applications to build profiles of customers...privacy advocates consider this practice to be dangerous...do you agree...where do you draw the line...why?
4. Which of the frameworks for systems planning seem most useful to you...why?
5. Web services sounds way too complex to be viable...how are little chunks of code from many organizations really going to work together and provide a reliable and secure computing environment?
6. Although having a wireless device is handy, it is also an intrusion...people need some privacy...they should not always be reachable...what are your thoughts in this regard?
7. Technology does not change culture...do you agree or disagree to this statement...why?

I do not think a major change is needed, but we need to add a fifth element to the information systems model: Software Engineering and Development. Because software has become so expensive and so vital to any organization’s success, that fifth element would be responsible to obtain, develop, or engineer low cost software that is reliable and works efficiently on real machines.

I am totally disagree because there shoud be team work in every way. Every employess have share their ideas and vision in smoot growth whileThe CEO is responsible for the management and leadership of the company and CIO (Chief Information Officer) is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s information technology are aligned with its strategic business objectives. But there should be mutual concern among them.

I feel that the practice is unsafe, when these companies collect their customer’s data for the purposes for their records and the companies are selling these informations to third parties. My main concern is that a sensitive data can fall into criminal hands resulting into identity theft, bank /credit card information used to do fraudulent activities and most annoying part is the telemarketer’s calls.
