From the sample space S = (1, 2. 3. 4.....15} a single number is to be selected at random. Given event A. that the selected number is even, and event C. that the selected number is a prime number, find P(A and C). P(A and C)

Solution

There is only one number which is even as well as prime which is 2 .

Hence P(A and C) = Favourable Cases/ Total no. of cases = 1/15
