The investigator collects need for achievement scores from 10 Type A subjects and 10 Type B subjects. Higher scores reflect greater levels of need for achievement. Write

let m1 and m2 be the population mean of Type A and Type B respectively

to test H0; m1=m2 vs H1: m1 not equal to m2

conclusion we reject H0 at 5% level of significance and claim that the mean of Type A is significantly greater than mean of Type B.
