Can someone help me with this question
The general function P(t) = 200e^kt is used to model the number of bacteria in a culture, where P_0 = 200 is the initial population and t is time measured in hours. Suppose the bacteria culture reaches 300 after 5 hours. How long will it take for the bacteria culture to triple in size? Simplify your answer as much as possible.

Solution

P(t) = Po*e^kt

Po = 200

P = 300

t = 5 hr

Then 300 = 200*e^5k =======> k = 0.081093

So P(t) = 200*e^(0.081093*t)

Now 3 = e^(0.081093*t)

t = 13.55 hr
