There are 3 following linear models suggested for these data, a) y= 1+x y= -2+2x y= 2/3 + x What is the best model? Using this best model to evaluate the moisture at T = 6 hours.

from the points given we find the slope :

take points ( 1, 2) and (3,4): slope = (4 -2)/(3-1) = 1

y = mx +c ---> y = x +c .find c, y intercept using any one point:

2 = 1.1 +c ---> c = 1

y = x +1 (linear function)

ie. x=6

So, Mositure y = 1+6 = 7
