1.Why do you think we should learn about systems of inequalities?
2.What is the significance of systems of inequalities in the business world? Please provide very specific examples to help us understand your explanation.
Solution
1) The system of inequalities help us in analyzing the different possible values for the given set of variables, it is different from the system of equalities which has only one specific value.
In every day to day life, we use the system of inequalities in order to save money and make our life easier
Let us understand by taking it an example
I need to buy 12 kg of onion and 6 kg of potatoes, with some amount of money A, then the given thing will be transformed into linear equation
12x + 6y <= A
Now suppose there are two stores, which are offering different prices for potatoes and onion, i.e. one store offer b per kg of onion and c per kg of potatoes, whereas one offer a per kg of onion and d per kg of potatoes.
The store choosing depends on the value which satisfies the equality, the question can be more decision making if they are at different distance then you can add z as a distance parameter which indicates the amount of petrol required by the car for travelling the particular distance.
2)
There are lot of significance of systems of inequalities in the business world since the only focus or the single handed investor is to maximize the profit/returns by investing into various companies/stocks available in the market.
There are pool of companies (startups) as mostly called by the industry people, who want to take money to build their company, but the company can either turn up to be huge or can get itself closed in few days, hence it is better to mark all the analysis in order to start investing the money.
Also in business world, there are lots of mergers or small companies are acquired by different interest i.e. to expand in different fields or in order to overthrow the competition provided by rival companies
