The company name is EBAY, Yes EBAY ha 145 million customer accounts on their website which includes personal information like Email address, phones numbers their names etc.

A cyberattack occurred between late February and early March, compromising customer names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, physical addresses and phone numbers and dates of birth.

No financial information was taken, according to eBay.

This has a very bad impact on the EBAY as well as their customer, I can myself feel insecure as i am having the account on EBAY, as a customer I could not trust on online sites easily if my personal or financial information would be leaked, the customers has raised the questions about their data safety and security. The customers have threat in their mind now and they are still hesitating to continue their account on EBAY.

The company itself has bearded a huge financial loss and loss of customer relationships. As we all knows that building goodwill takes years and one moment is enough to ruin the goodwill, the same has happened with the EBAY.

And yes, this can be prevented in future if they take this as a major concern and avail more security on their database with high class security. If they can do so, then a day is not far when they will have more customers than now.

Hackers attack when they see weakness, so now EBAY has to be more stronger and beat the hackers.
