Calculate the total mechanical power output of a turbine-generator system with a shaft torque of 2750 N m and a speed of 3400 rpm.

Solution

>> As, Mechanical Power, P = 2NT/60,

where, N = Speedin rpm = 3400 rpm

T = Torque = 2750 N

>> Putting all in above equation,

=> P = 2**2750*3400/60

=> Required Mechanical Power, P = 0.98 MW ..............ANSWER..........
