using the following information determine if the difference

using the following information , determine if the differences between the means are significant

Medical Terminology Class

Group A = number of workd elements remembered by students using flash cards

Group B= number of world elements remembered by students not suing flash cards

Group                    X                  standard deviation (sd)                          n

A                          75                        2.0                                             10

B                         50                         3.5                                              10

the null hypothesis: there is no difference between the groups.

h0: H1-H2 = 0 ( the difference between the means is zero)

                                  (t=2.50, df=18,p<0.05)

please explain the final answer thanks

Solution

look at the p<.05 it tells you that your p-value i.e. the estimated probability of rejecting the null hypothesis is less than .05 or the level of significance. That means there is sufficient evidnece from the sample to reject H_0. So we will reject H_0 and conclude that there is indeed significant difference between two groups.

using the following information , determine if the differences between the means are significant Medical Terminology Class Group A = number of workd elements re
