Solution
1.One of the four principles of public health informatics is to put focus on the applications of information science and technology to improve the environmental conditions in places where a population is more affected by diseases and injury thereby preventing the occurence of diseases. It is different from medical and nursing informatics in a way that it deals to prevent diseases in a population of people using information technology and science while medical or nursing informatics deals with information systems required for maintaining patient medical records, treatment profile so that proper patient care can be provided and diseases can be prevented. Thus we can say that while public informatics deals with a population of people, medical or nursing informatics deals with maintaining individuals health records.
2.American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and Public health informatics at PHII are the organisations that work for public health informatics.
