Many areas of the country have reservoirs or waterways with locks and dams. An interesting problem is to evalute the potential for hydroelectric generation at a local facility with a spillway. For example, would a hydroelectric facility be feasible at the columbus (Mississippi) lock and dam on the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway?
Solution
i think it cant happen because the head is only 27 feet.and the lowest turbine head is kaplan turbine that itself requires at least 33 feet
