What is the purpose of conducting a cognitive task analysis

What is the purpose of conducting a cognitive task analysis? What is the principle difference between an open loop and a closed loop system?

Solution

21. The below mention answer is belong to q21.

Congitive Task Analysis:

Congnitive Task Analysis is one type of the Task analysis it is mainly used to understand what are the cognitive activity is done by the user , for example of their decision making carried on, their problem solving skills, recollectios or memorization , and their final statement(judgement),

The main reason of this assessment of the decision requirements done by the experts to achieve the good results.

it may have few merits and demerits

Merits:

1. it will be generate the detailed and exact information on the basis of their expert performance in a task.

2. it will be done correctly, through analysis techniques that value a high sources of information by the expert through their congitive process.

Demerits:

1. It is time taken because it takes to much of time. it undergone the process of the analysis of the data.

2. In sometimes it will mislead the most expert performers and their capability of performers is beyond that of others.(it is carried out (cta) by the professional trained athletes but implementing the process of cognitive process alone so that it will not duplicate the performance).

22. this below answer is for q22.

Open loop system:

The open loop system is known to be a continous controlling system in that the output has no influence on the input action taken. it never react on the feedback to be obtaining from the output. it is also known as non-feedback control system.

input-->controller-->measured response.

difference of open loop to close loop:

1. it is simple compared to closed loop system

2. The effect of output is based on the input taken and it does not have effect on the control system.

3. There will be no disturbances because it is working on the fixed operations

4. Stability of the open loop is stable it will not effect on the control systems

5. it doesn\'t have any effect on gain.

6. The implementation is easy to construct the open loop compared to closed loop.

7. As mention in point 6, it is easy to implement so that the cost effectiveness will less.

ex: automatic washing machine, microoven best example

Closed loop system :

In this system it records the output instead of input and it will modify the input according to the circumstances it is needed let take a television and music system it is control through the remote control..that why is known to be feedback control system.

input--->controller--->measured response--> input.

here it shows it measured response is correlated again with input .

differences of closed loop to open loop:

1. it is not so simple compared to open loop system.

2. The effect of output is alter the output original according to their desired conditions

3. There will be no disturbances because it doesn’t encounter and react on external disturbances or internal variations occured

4. Stability of the closed loop is not so stable as expected it is the major issue in it.

5. it is no-linear change in system gain in the closed loop.

6. The implementation is not to easy as open loop the working principles are complexes and difficult to implement in closed loop.

7. It cost higher compared to open loop it need more components to design and structered it.

ex: TV( television ) remote, music system and computer mouse is one of the best examples.

therefore, hence these are difference between open loop and closed loop system.
