a) Switch is connected for the long time:- then the capacitor behaves as an open circuit.

Voltage across capacitor terminal is=2 ohm*8 A=16V

b) Steady State value of capacitor voltage is zero as initially capacitor is charged for 16V

c) Time constant

tau=Req*C=(6+2)4=32 s
