Current Year = 1461
Year 1900 = 2225

We´re calculating a relative change, so we´re going to evaluate the 2225 newspapers of 1900 as our reference

The 2225 are our 100%

then the 1461 are our ?? using a rule of three we obtain x= 1461*100 / 2225 So x=65.66% 100-65.66=34.34%

The amount of daily newspapers today is the 65.66% of what there was in 1900

There is a decrease of 34.34% from the newspapers of the 1900
