Solve by the elimination method What is the solution 3x y

Solve by the elimination method. What is the solution?

3x – y = 0

x + 2y = 14

Solution

3x – y = 0 Eqn (1)

x + 2y = 14 Eqn (2)

Eqn (1) - Eqn (2)*3 =>

3x – y = 0

-3x - 6y = 42

-------------------------------

-7y = 42 => Y = -6

Substitute the value of Y = -6 in Eqn(2) => x - 12 = 14 => x = 26

Solve by the elimination method. What is the solution? 3x – y = 0 x + 2y = 14Solution3x – y = 0 Eqn (1) x + 2y = 14 Eqn (2) Eqn (1) - Eqn (2)*3 => 3x – y = 0
