Unemployment is one of the major concerns that people have in today’s economy, since losing one’s job can be one of the most devastating events a person can experience. But what do the numbers actually mean? What is the actual state of the economy, in terms of its ability to generate jobs for its citizens?

1. Unemployment insurance is designed to help the unemployed. Do these benefits encourage or discourage a person from looking for work? How long should these benefits last? Does the existence of unions help or hurt the overall economy and the employment rate? Why or why not?

Benefits given to the unemployed person should not be sustainable as the person will then feel that why to work if goverment is providing them money.

Yes it does help society as it prevents young people to enter criminal world and give them a chance to survive which they can utilize to grow and get employed and contribute to the economy of the country.

The benefits provided by the goverment as not luxury bebefits they are basic survival benefits. Unions sometimes makes it difficult for a person to enter the organisation as they define the work culture of that area.
