3x+2y=9 -----(1)

and 4x+5y=5 -----(2)

Solve by elemination :

multiply equation 1 by 4 and equation 2 by 3:

12x +8y = 36

12x +15y = 15

------------------ ( subtract)

-7y = 21

y = -3

Plug y=-3 to find x : 3x -6 =9 ----> 3x = 15

x=5

Solution : ( x, y) = ( 5 ,-3)
