Electronic Purchasing system is becoming more and more common on today`s world

The only disadvantage on the system from my own experience is the fact that you cannot see the physical product, it is not tangible at the time of purchase so you need to be careful reading the description and it important to read the reviews if they are available, often other buyers post picture of the product and they can tell you if the description matches.

Besides that, electronic purchasing systems are a great way to save time and money, you can navigate through thousands of items from your computer, smartphone or tablet from your home or office without driving to the mall. You will find products that are not available on your country and you can buy them filling up some basic information (you do need a credit or debit card to make the purchase which could be a disadvantage but most people do have credit cards)

E-Procurement is already replacing manual system, it will take a while before it replace it completely but that is the path is going right now. Companies like amazon are willing to do fulfillment for stores at zero profit but this allows them to sell more through their website.

The supply chain management is already set in the way that you purchase your item, get a confirmation email, ships same day depending on the time or next day and you get a tracking number and you can track online until the package is receive and you can get the electronic confirmation of who signed it
