Please explain and show all work A singleturn wire loop 10 c

Please explain and show all work.

A single-turn wire loop 10 cm in diameter carries a 16 A current. It experiences a torque of 1.8×10-2 Nm when the normal to the loop plane makes a 37 angle with a uniform magnetic field.

Q: What is the magnetic field strength?

(Express your answer using two significant figures.)

Solution

i = current in the loop = 16 A

d = diameter = 10 cm = 0.10 m

A = area = d2/4 = 3.14 (0.1)2/4 = 7.85 x 10-3 m2

= Torque = 0.018

= angle = 37

Torque is given as

= NiAB Sin

0.018 = 1 (16) (7.85 x 10-3) B Sin37

B = 0.23885 T
