Epigenesis- it is a theory about development of an embryo from the undifferentiated structure.

It is a step wise process.

By this process genetic information is modified and translate into the substance and the behaviour of an organism.

Preformation- it is theory about development of en embryo.

According to this theory the individual with all its parts ,preexists in the germ cell and grew from microscopic to normal proportion during embryogenesis.

This theory say that all part of an organism exist completely formed in the germ cell and develop only by increasing in size.
