B. Imagine that you have decided to switch from being human to being a bacterial cell. Would you choose to l a Gram positive bacterium or a Gram negative bacterium? Describe three different important reasons (tagged a Reason in, Reason if2, and Reason #3) why you made the choice you did.

Reason #1

I would choose to be agram positive bacteria because i always give a positive result in the gram stain test.

Reason #2

I can be more receptive to antibiotics than gram-negative due to the absence of the outer membrane.All gram positive bacteria are bounded by a single unit lipid membrane and in general,they contain a thick layer of peptidoglycan responsible for retaining the Gram stain.

Reason #3

A number of other bacteria that are bounded by a single membrane, but stain gram-negative due to either lack of peptidoglycan layer as in the mycoplasmas or their inability to retain the gram stain because of their cell wall composition also show that they are easily diagnosed,they retain the colour of the stain even after washed.
