Differentiate between major classes of microorganisms in form, function, and impact on humans
What are the different levels of protein structure and how are they influenced by genetic/biological/chemical/environmental factors?
How are metabolic processes used to solve human problems—e.g., bioremediation, consumables, combustibles—and what are the “issues” associated with these biotechnologies?
What is “good” and “bad” about our current biofuel production practices? • How do the various biological macromolecules influence and interface with one another?
Solution
The various microorganizms include bacteria, archaea, viruses. The differences between them is that , the cell walls of archaea do not contain peptidoglycan unlike bacteria. Moreover the Archaea has different membrane lipid bonding which is usually not found in the Bacteria and Eucarya.
The main difference between viruses and bacteria is that viruses are smaller in size than bacteria .They usually require living hosts which includes the people, plants or animals in order to multiply.
The various levels of protein and the way they are influenced by various factors are:
1.The first one is the The primary structure:This is basically defined as the order of the amino acids which are usually present in the backbone of each of the polypeptide chains that usually comprises the whole. molecule
2)The secondary level is the one which describes the various periodic spatial relationships that are present between each of the polypeptide chains. This includes the The locations and extent of those regions of each chain which are basically organized into helices
3)The final Tertiary protein structure defines the arrangement of the helical and non-helical regions which are present in polypeptide .These regions are are folded back on themselves to add yet another order of shape.
Metabolic processes help the humans to stay green and clean .It helps to keep the environment clean and free from dust so that no infectins and diseases can spread. The issues are the cost of the technology and the lack of proper implementation. The good about biofuel practice is that it helps to clean the pollution and the bad part is the technology is expensive and cannot reach all the places in the entire world
