Find the slope-intercept equation of the line passing throgh the points (1-3) and (3,5)

Solution

(1-3) and (3,5)

I find slope from these two points : m = (5 - (-3))/(3 -1) = 8/2 =4

II Slope interecpt form of equation : y = mx +c

y = 4x +c

III Find y interecpt c using any one point:

(1, -3) : Plug ---> -3 =4 +c

c= -7

So, equation of line : y = 4x - 7
